We're happy to announce that the rollback errors have been fixed and the site is live again!
Diamond Dust purchased during the rollback period will be reimbursed today. Affected members will be notified via Goat Mail for confirmation.
As stated in our previous news post, member activity made during the rollback period was reset to the site's last backup. For more information on the rollback, and what may have been affected, please read the official notice here.
If you have any concerns or encounter any further site errors, please notify staff and we'll look into it!

Greetings Fanlings!
We’d like to apologize for the downtime and site-wide rollback that has affected all members.
Our host has informed us that a hardware issue on their end resulted in data loss, requiring a rollback on all of their sites - including ours - to their last backup (about 8 hours ago as of this announcement). Unfortunately, this means any activity during this time has been reset; gifted or traded items have been returned to the previous owner, and items gained through battles have been removed. Sadly, we cannot undo the effects of the rollback, so any gifted or traded items will have to be re-sent.
The rollback left us with a few page errors and we are currently working to fix them, however the site will need to go down for maintenance soon to assure any new bugs or glitches can be addressed thoroughly. Diamond Dust purchased during the rollback period will be reimbursed once the site is live again.

- Members may bid on multiple items and as many times as they like.
- Members may win multiple times in a row.
- Members may also snipe bids (bid as the auction is about to end).
- Members may do whatever they want with the items after they have won them. Such as sell, give away, hoard, or even pawn.
- Auctioned items will not retire.
- We understand that auctions may become intense, but please do not be frustrated or discouraged. There's always next week!
- Members who pester or disrespect others who have placed bids and/or won an auction will be permanently silenced.
This IS a friendly bidding war so stay tough, calm, and have fun!

As some of you may be aware, we have recently switched over to https! This means that Goatlings.com now has additional protection, privacy, and authentication.
All site pages now feature a locked icon, displayed in the URL bar. If you visit a page that states "Not Secure", it means a link on that page may be outdated. In order to fix the warning message, the outdated link in question will now need to include "https" and "www."
Example:
http://goatlings.com/images/news/line.gif = Outdated
https://www.goatlings.com/images/news/line.gif = More Secure
We recommend that members check and update their Profiles, Goatling profiles, Gallery, Shop, and Club if the page has a "Not Secure" warning instead of a lock icon. Active forum topics such as art shops can be updated as well if the member chooses to. No harm will be done if outdated links are left up, especially in inactive areas such as old forum posts.
